Squad Busters Soars: 40M Downloads, $24M Revenue in Debut Month

Supercell's Squad Busters, a MOBA RTS mobile game, achieved 40 million installs and $24 million in net revenue within its first month. While impressive, these figures significantly lag behind Supercell's previous successes like Brawl Stars ($43 million) and Clash Royale ($115 million) in their respective launch months.

Furthermore, Squad Busters' performance shows a concerning downward trend. Install rates plummeted from 30 million in the first week to under five million by the end of the month, suggesting player interest is waning. Spending also decreased post-launch.

Supercell Fatigue? The comparatively modest performance of Squad Busters, even considering Supercell's high expectations, raises questions about potential market saturation. Competitors like Honkai Star Rail, which generated $190 million in its first month, highlight this disparity. Squad Busters' similarity to Supercell's existing game portfolio may contribute to player fatigue. Its long-term success remains uncertain.
