Cyberpunk 2077: DLSS 4 Upgrade in Patch 2.21

CD Projekt RED has released a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing not only bug fixes but also the integration of cutting-edge NVIDIA technology. GeForce RTX 50 series graphics card owners will benefit from the addition of DLSS 4 support, resulting in significantly increased frame rates.

DLSS 4 support for GeForce RTX 50 series cards will be available starting January 30th. This technology boosts frame generation on both RTX 50 and 40 series cards, all while reducing memory consumption.

Across all GeForce RTX graphics cards, players can now choose between the convolutional neural network model and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model delivers superior lighting, enhanced detail, and improved image stability.

This update also addresses several issues: interference and crashes related to DLSS ray reconstruction have been resolved, and the "Frame Creation" parameter now updates correctly after disabling resolution scaling.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.21 Patch Notes:

  • Resolved an issue preventing interaction with certain vendors.
  • Fixed a bug causing missing or low volume TV news audio.
  • Addressed a bug resulting in infrequent Johnny Silverhand appearances in the passenger seat.
  • Corrected a bug where items disappeared when hiding nearby characters.
  • Fixed a game freeze occurring when entering photo mode and simultaneously opening a closet or stash.
  • Photo Mode now allows placement of Nibbles and Adam Smasher in the frame, even if V is in the air or water.
  • Improvements made to the feature controlling Adam Smasher's facial expressions.
