Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco's Collaborative Venture: The Dawnwalker Saga
Anticipation Builds: More Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon
This exciting collaboration, announced earlier this week, positions Bandai Namco as the global publisher for Dawnwalker, a story-driven AAA action RPG launching in 2025 for PC, PS5, and Xbox.
Set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe, Dawnwalker targets mature audiences with its compelling narrative. Further details are promised in the coming months. Founded in 2022, Warsaw-based Rebel Wolves aims to redefine the RPG experience through immersive storytelling.
"Rebel Wolves is a unique blend of seasoned expertise and fresh perspectives," commented Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, Tomasz Tinc. "Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, renowned for its commitment to RPGs and its support of new IPs, is the ideal partner. We share a common vision, and their track record speaks volumes. We eagerly anticipate collaborating to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."
Bandai Namco views Dawnwalker as a significant addition to its portfolio. Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, VP of business development, stated, "This marks a key step in our Western market strategy. By leveraging our combined strengths, we will deliver this exceptional game to a global audience."
Leading the creative charge is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year as creative director. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a nine-year CDPR writing veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new IP. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, offering a non-linear narrative experience.
Tomaszkiewicz previously highlighted the game's replayability, emphasizing player choice and experimentation. "Our goal is to craft an experience that rewards multiple playthroughs," he explained. "Collaborating with this incredibly talented team is a privilege, and we can't wait to share our progress with everyone."
