Atomfall Unveils Immersive Gameplay | Launch Set for March
Atomfall: A New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England
Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, receives an extensive gameplay showcase in a new seven-minute trailer. Set in an alternate 1960s England devastated by nuclear war, Atomfall promises a compelling blend of exploration, crafting, and combat reminiscent of titles like Fallout and STALKER.
The trailer highlights key gameplay elements, including navigating hazardous quarantine zones, scavenging resources in abandoned villages and research bunkers, and engaging in both melee and ranged combat against robotic and cultist enemies. While the initial weapon selection appears relatively standard (cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, bolt-action rifle), the trailer emphasizes weapon upgrades and the potential for discovering a wider arsenal within the game's world.
Crafting plays a significant role, with players able to create healing items and combat tools such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Furthermore, players can enhance their capabilities by collecting training manuals and unlocking skills across four categories: melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning.
Initially revealed during Xbox's Summer Game Fest showcase, Atomfall will launch on March 27th for Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, promising further details for eager players. Keep an eye on Rebellion's social media channels for updates.
