New Feature: Bypassing Boss Fights Without Combat

Death Stranding 2 Bosses Can Be Cleared Without Beating Them

In Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2), a groundbreaking feature allows players to skip combat with bosses. During the April 14 episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima shared insights on this accessibility-focused option. Players who choose to bypass a boss fight can simply press "continue" at the game over screen, which will enable them to move forward in the story. Instead of fighting, the game will present the battle's narrative through images and text, reminiscent of a visual novel, ensuring players don't miss out on crucial story elements.

Hideo Kojima announced that DS2 is now 95% complete, likening its progress to "10 o'clock (PM)" in a 24-hour cycle, with only two hours remaining until it's fully finished. The sequel picks up right where the original left off. At last month's South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony unveiled a 10-minute trailer, giving fans a glimpse into DS2’s narrative and introducing new characters, including a figure resembling Solid Snake. The presentation also highlighted DS2’s collector’s edition and pre-order bonuses. For more details on pre-orders and DLC, check out our dedicated article!
