Application Description
War of Empire Conquest (WOE) is an immersive real-time strategy (RTS) mobile game that thrives on competitive player versus player (PvP) action. In WOE, one player initiates a match, inviting others to join and engage in intense battles. Players enjoy a high degree of control, manually directing all types of units and buildings to strategize their victory.
The game meticulously simulates 18 powerful medieval Empires or civilizations, including China, Japan, Persia, Teutonic, Mongolian, Gothic, Maya, and more. Each Empire is equipped with 8 types of regular units and a distinctive unique unit, adding depth to strategic gameplay. For instance, Mongolia boasts Riders, Persia has War Elephants, and Spain features Conquistadors. The regular units, such as Swordsmen, Pikemen, Archers, Light Cavalry, and Aries, each have specific strengths and weaknesses, fostering tactical diversity.
Buildings play a crucial role, with structures like Towers, Turrets, Castles, and blacksmith shops influencing gameplay. Towers, for example, become formidable when garrisoned with 5 farmers, enabling them to launch 6 arrows simultaneously. Turrets specialize in demolishing enemy buildings, enhancing offensive capabilities.
Every Empire in WOE has its unique advantages and disadvantages. The Huns, for instance, bypass the need for housing, saving valuable time and resources, particularly for their Cavalry, which can be upgraded to Rangers. On the other hand, the Teutonic warriors, reminiscent of historical Spartans, are powerful but slow-moving, requiring careful tactical positioning.
The core of WOE's gameplay revolves around three simultaneous objectives: developing an economy, harassing enemies, and ultimately destroying them. Players should continuously produce farmers to collect resources and utilize temporary shelters like the Town Center (TC) and Towers. Early game harassment with small units can tilt the advantage in your favor, setting the stage for decisive battles.
Cooperation is key in WOE. Players must work with allies to form legions, protecting weaker but high-damage units and effectively countering numerically superior forces. Understanding unit counters is essential; for example, Pikemen restrain Cavalry, Cavalry dominate Archers, and Archers are effective against Pikemen. Unique units like the Slave on a camel or the Koryo Carriage offer specialized advantages, crucial for strategic victories.
The game features two main resources, Food and Gold, which players use to progress through historical eras from the dark ages to the emperor era, unlocking advanced technologies, buildings, and units. WOE offers various game modes to cater to different play styles, with the Normal Mode emphasizing resource management and strategic harassment, while the Imperial Deathmatch Mode throws players into the emperor era with ample resources for immediate, intense battles.
After four years of operation in China and numerous updates, WOE is now at version 1.8.n, offering a robust set of features including Player vs CPU, Network Play, Spectator mode, Replay functionality, Map creation, Legion formation, Friend lists, and in-game Chat. These features enhance the game's depth and community engagement, making WOE a compelling choice for RTS enthusiasts looking for a rich and competitive mobile gaming experience.
