Details on Remedy's Current Game Development Projects
Remedy Entertainment's annual report reveals significant progress across its game portfolio. Control 2 has cleared the crucial concept validation phase and is now in full production, signaling a major step forward for the project.
Alongside Control 2, two other titles are actively under development: FBC: Firebreak and the remakes of Max Payne 1+2. These projects, previously in the pre-production stage a year ago, have now advanced to full development. However, the Tencent collaboration, Project Kestrel, has been cancelled, a decision made last May.
All current projects leverage Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, a technology proven successful in titles such as Alan Wake 2 and other studio releases.
Financially, Control 2 boasts a €50 million budget and will be self-published by Remedy for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. FBC: Firebreak, with a €30 million budget, will launch on PlayStation and Xbox subscription services, alongside Steam and the Epic Games Store.
While the budget for the Max Payne 1+2 remakes remains undisclosed, they are confirmed as AAA-level productions, with development and marketing fully funded by Rockstar Games.
