War Thunder Mobile Soars into Open Beta
War Thunder Mobile's Open Beta for Aircraft Battles Takes Flight!
Gaijin Entertainment has launched the open beta for aircraft battles in War Thunder Mobile, delivering intense aerial combat. This update introduces over 100 planes from three nations (with more to come!), adding a full-fledged air-focused tech tree and dedicated game mode.
Previously, aircraft played a supporting role in naval and ground battles. Now, players can experience the thrill of dedicated air combat.
Exploring the Skies: Nations and Aircraft
The open beta currently features aircraft from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, including iconic planes like the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5. More nations are planned for future updates. Players can choose to focus on one nation's tech tree or diversify their fleet. High-ranking aircraft can be acquired via blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event starting in early October.
The new Aviation campaign allows players to manage their aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade crews. Squadrons of up to four planes can be formed, with customization options for aircraft and armaments.
The Aircraft Hangar and Customization
The aircraft hangar serves as the central hub between battles. Players can manage their vehicles, select camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to their squadron. Each aircraft slot offers options to change the vehicle, modify its weaponry, or upgrade the assigned crew. Squadrons can be built using any available aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.
