Marvel Snap shakes things up with the new Sanctum Showdown mode
Are you ready to claim the title of Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap introduces a thrilling new limited-time mode, Sanctum Showdown, which is set to run until March 11th. This event offers an exciting new way to compete, featuring unique snapping mechanics, a special Sanctum location, and a different win condition.
In the Sanctum Showdown mode of Marvel Snap, the traditional six-turn game is replaced with a race to 16 points. The Sanctum location is pivotal, as it awards the highest points each turn. The snapping mechanic is revamped for this mode; starting from turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, keeping the game's momentum in constant flux.
Participating in a match will cost you one Scroll, but a win will replenish your supply, allowing you to keep the excitement going. You begin with 12 Scrolls, and two more are added every eight hours. Should you deplete your Scrolls, you can buy more for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match's outcome, you'll progress in your Sorcerer Rank and earn Charms. These Charms can be spent in the Sanctum Shop on various cosmetics or new cards.
Are you strategizing to leverage Captain Marvel or Dracula? Think again, as certain cards and locations are banned in this mode to ensure balanced gameplay. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and cards like Debrii are excluded to prevent any dominant strategies.
