Dynasty Warriors: Origins features three distinct campaigns, each boasting a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.
To begin, complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay stages. You'll notice a golden banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate path. Normally, this mission involves escorting Liu Bei while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, to unlock the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of simply ensuring Liu Bei's escape.

Reduce Difficulty: Select "Historian" mode. The sheer scale of the enemy forces makes this a near-impossible task on higher difficulties unless you're exceptionally high-leveled.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This places you closer to Cao Cao's initial deployment, reducing travel time.

Musou Meter Management: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full before engaging Cao Cao's main force. Prepare to counter his Grand Tactics—one requiring officer eliminations, the other demanding a significant soldier count. Twin pikes are recommended for rapid soldier clearing.
Once Cao Cao falls, only a few additional missions remain before the Shu true ending is revealed.
