Following its June 2020 announcement and subsequent teasers, skate. is finally available for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta release date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been ongoing since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. However, developer Full Circle continues to encourage player registration, as development is actively progressing.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This latest installment in the franchise, nearly a decade after Skate 3, will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed by Full Circle in a previous YouTube interview.
