Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has announced a record-breaking year, with the game generating $43 million in royalties. The company's 2024 financial report shows a 30.4% year-over-year revenue increase, reaching $151.4 million, with Stellar Blade contributing significantly to this success.

Further bolstering these impressive results, Shift Up anticipates even stronger performance from the upcoming PC release, projecting sales to surpass those of the PlayStation 5 version, particularly within the Asian market. This positive outlook is further enhanced by the planned reveal of their new title, Project Witches, in the first half of 2025. While Project Witches isn't the highly anticipated Stellar Blade sequel, Shift Up has confirmed that they are exploring the possibility of developing a future installment in the franchise.

Project Witches, unveiled in 2024 following the PS5 launch of Stellar Blade, represents a separate venture for the studio. Stellar Blade, a fast-paced action RPG where players control Eve in a battle to reclaim Earth from mysterious invaders, achieved significant popularity, selling over a million copies and receiving a 7/10 rating from IGN. IGN's review praised the game's core action mechanics but noted that underdeveloped characters, a weak narrative, and frustrating RPG elements hindered its overall potential.
