The report confirms several first-party game releases in 2025. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (January 16th) and Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition (March 20th) are slated for Q1. Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are also confirmed for 2025, though release dates remain unannounced.

Further announcements are expected during the Nintendo Direct, airing Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. While the focus is reportedly on the Switch 2, fans anticipate reveals of new Switch 2 exclusives. Specific broadcast times will be shared later via official Nintendo channels.

Nintendo Switch 2 Experience

The Nintendo Switch 2 launch is also confirmed for 2025, anticipated in the latter half of the year. In-person "Nintendo Switch 2 Experience" events will be held in 15 global locations (including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam) starting in April. Super Nintendo World Expansion

Nintendo's expansion strategy extends to its theme parks. A new Super Nintendo World is opening at Universal Orlando Resort's Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025. This marks the second US location, following the Universal Studios Hollywood debut. Orlando's park will feature Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country themed areas. A Singapore location is also planned for 2025, but further details are pending.
