In their first major post-launch update for Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft’s new Creative Director, Drew Rechner, shared plans to elevate the game’s mechanics and player experience, responding to fan feedback on key areas like combat, stealth, and controls. According to the developer’s post, their "biggest update yet" will arrive on November 21 alongside the game’s debut on Steam and first DLC.
The developer update kicks off with a genuine thank-you from Rechner to the Outlaws community for their enthusiasm and support, from "fan arts, comments, and videos you’ve created around the game." But beyond these, Rechner, in his first message to the community as Creative Director, acknowledges the valuable constructive feedback from players. "Thank you for sharing with us and helping us make the game even better," he said.
With three title updates already rolled out, Massive Entertainment is tackling some of the biggest community concerns head-on. These patches have already addressed bugs, improved mission dynamics, and adjusted the speeder camera and collision for a smoother ride across desert planets and lush jungles alike.
While Game8 awarded the game a score of 90, praising it as an exceptional game that does justice to the Star Wars franchise, Rechner believes there's still room for improvement. In their Developer Update, he identified three key areas that could "improve the game even further."
