The developers of Marvel Rivals are launching the Fantastic Four into battle
The new season of [Game Name] kicks off with the arrival of the Fantastic Four! Adding a whopping 33 heroes in a single month is impressive, but the developers are already treating players to a brand-new quartet. Two are here now, with the others dropping later.
Who Are the New Heroes?
First up are **Mister Fantastic** and **Invisible Woman**. Thing and Human Torch are coming soon, filling the tank and duelist roles respectively. They’ll also join the Team-Up Fantastic Four, boosting Invisible Woman’s healing and granting Mister Fantastic a rapid health regeneration ability.
Invisible Woman
With relatively few support characters currently in the game, Invisible Woman offers a welcome addition for those who enjoy this playstyle. Her attacks pierce through multiple targets, damaging enemies and healing allies—perfect for crowded situations. However, her limited range necessitates staying close to teammates.
Invisible Woman can, as you might guess, turn invisible. This requires six seconds of inactivity (no attacking or being attacked), making it situational. However, she heals while invisible.
A more practical invisibility method is her double jump – a great escape tool. Save it for emergencies!
She can also deploy a shield in front of an ally (right-click). It’s fragile, so prioritize injured duelists and reposition it frequently for maximum healing.
Invisible Woman can pull and push opponents. Pushing is mainly defensive, useful before jumping. Pulling helps allies close in for an attack.
She can also fire a sphere that pulls enemies into a damaging area, ideal for chokepoints and crowd control.
Three consecutive melee attacks push enemies away, though this is often risky. Repelling (E) or the double jump are safer options.
Her ultimate creates a healing and invisibility zone. While useful, its stationary nature makes it vulnerable to area-of-effect attacks.
Overall, Invisible Woman is well-balanced, comparable in effectiveness to Luna Snow and Mantis, offering tactical depth and strong team support.
Mister Fantastic
Mister Fantastic is a unique and entertaining character, thanks to his powers.
His attacks reach medium range, and angled strikes hit any enemies in their path.
Attacking and using abilities fill a meter. At maximum, he transforms into an inflated form with increased damage and durability.
His "Shift" ability absorbs damage for a short time, then releases it as a damaging shot.
He can pull characters, gaining a temporary shield. Pulling allies shields them; pulling enemies deals damage.
Right-clicking extends his arm to immobilize opponents, allowing him to pull them in or grab another for a combined toss.
His ultimate is a jump attack that damages and slows enemies, repeating if at least one is hit (similar to Bucky’s ultimate, but often less effective).
Mister Fantastic blends duelist and tank roles, powerful but not quite reaching the top tier heroes.
Both heroes are well-received, showcasing the developers’ commitment to unique character designs. We eagerly await the season’s remaining additions!
