"Dawnwalker Director Leaves CDPR to Launch Own Studio"

Following the release of acclaimed titles like *The Witcher 3* and *Cyberpunk 2077*, not all the experts at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to embark on a new journey with *The Blood of Dawnwalker*.

Recently, *The Blood of Dawnwalker* was unveiled, developed by Rebel Wolves studio, founded by a veteran from CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz. In discussing his departure from CDPR, Tomaszkiewicz shared his motivations and vision for the new venture.

Tomaszkiewicz explained, "I wanted to do something different with my friends, so I started Rebel Wolves. We have a strong interest in role-playing games and their history. However, I believe that these RPG rules can be developed and expanded. We came up with some wild ideas. Since it would be difficult to persuade any large corporation to change and do something novel, especially with brand-new intellectual property, we realized that if we wanted to do them, we would need to open our own studio. Given that we're working on some novel solutions, it's actually risky."

He emphasized the advantages of working in a smaller team, stating, "Unlike in large studios where it's more complicated, we work with people and between people in our studio. A small team, in my opinion, is capable of more because there is communication among members and discussing the vision is simpler. Feeling the 'creative fire' and creating something unique is simpler."
