Unlock Hidden Treasures in NieR: Guide to Dented Plates
NieR: Automata resource management can be tricky. While some materials are plentiful, upgrading numerous weapons requires significant quantities, even of common resources. Dented Plates are a prime example. This guide details efficient farming strategies to amass the needed supply.
Best Farming Locations for Dented Plates
Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:
- Small Bipeds (all variants)
- Small Flyers (all variants)
- Small Spheres (all variants)
These basic enemies are ubiquitous throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't optimal.
The Adam Pit Farming Method:
The most efficient location is the pit where you first encounter Adam.
- Fast Travel: Use the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
- Navigate: Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit.
- Endless Spawning: Enemies, primarily Small Bipeds, continuously respawn as you defeat them. While their level might be lower depending on your game progress, their Dented Plate drop rate is surprisingly good. This area is also beneficial for Titanium Alloy farming.
Alternative Farming Location: Forest Kingdom
If you prefer varied locations, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. These groups usually drop at least one Dented Plate. Exploring the Forest Kingdom also provides opportunities to collect Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds yield a higher Dented Plate drop rate, so progressing the main story increases your chances.
Improving Drop Rates
Equipping drop-rate increasing plug-in chips significantly boosts your yield. Remember to avoid death to prevent permanent chip loss.
