"Pokémon Go Tour: Unova Debuts Black and White Kyurem with New Adventure Effects"
The legendary Pokémon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are set to make their much-anticipated debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global event. These formidable creatures bring with them exciting new Adventure Effects that can enhance your gameplay outside of battle. To maximize your earnings, don't forget to leverage the Tour Pass throughout the event.
Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock ability unleashes electrically charged ice that immobilizes wild Pokémon for 10 minutes, making them significantly easier to catch. On the other hand, White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows down the target ring during encounters, simplifying the task of landing Excellent Throws. Both effects can be extended in 10-minute increments, up to two hours at a time, with a maximum total duration of 24 hours.
During the event, you can challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to gather Fusion Energy. Once you fuse Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, Freeze Shock or Ice Burn will replace Glaciate. Remember, these moves revert to Glaciate when the Pokémon are separated. It's worth noting that currently, Kyurem cannot learn these moves using Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.
You'll have the choice between two event badges – the Black Version, featuring Reshiram, or the White Version, featuring Zekrom. Choosing the Black Version means any Kyurem you encounter after defeating Black Kyurem will know Glaciate, and you'll receive Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. Opting for the White Version will grant you Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards, and any Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem will also know Glaciate.
To enhance your progression, utilize the Tour Pass, which not only unlocks exclusive rewards but also boosts your Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, participating in raids, and hatching Eggs, or accelerate your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones will increase your Catch XP and extend the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.
For those seeking the ultimate experience, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe. This premium version offers immediate encounters with Victini, additional event-themed encounters, an avatar item, and the innovative Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket, a one-time-use item, allows you to become Lucky Friends with someone from your Friend List, significantly enhancing your next trade.
The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global event will run from February 24th to March 2nd. Make sure to mark your calendars and prepare for an unforgettable adventure!
