Pokémon TCG Pocket launches its hotly-anticipated trading feature and Space-Time Smackdown
Pokémon TCG Pocket's trading feature has finally arrived, but the launch hasn't been without its challenges. While the addition of trading cards with friends is a significant update, mirroring real-life trading, it's been met with mixed reactions due to limitations. Only certain card rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are currently tradeable, and players need resources like trade hourglasses and tokens to facilitate exchanges.
Despite the less-than-enthusiastic reception to the trading feature, a brand new expansion, Space-Time Smackdown, offers a welcome distraction! This expansion introduces iconic Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia to the game, alongside the Sinnoh region starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, plus much more.

The lukewarm response to the trading mechanic is understandable. While the implementation is solid, the numerous restrictions are a significant drawback. Many believe a more unrestricted, resource-free trading system would have been preferable, or perhaps delaying the feature altogether. However, developers have indicated they're monitoring player feedback and may implement changes in the future.
