Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has unveiled an exciting lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a robust selection of first- and third-party games. Highlights include South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and more. This impressive month was detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, and you can expect the first wave of games to start rolling out from tomorrow, April 3.

The month kicks off with Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, available on Cloud, Console, and PC for all tiers. Joining it on April 3 are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all of which will be accessible through Game Pass Standard. This initial batch promises to keep even the most dedicated Xbox fans engaged throughout the month. However, you won't have long to wait for more, as South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be available for all Game Pass subscribers starting April 8.

South of Midnight, crafted by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and draws from folklore to deliver a compelling adventure. Microsoft describes it as an opportunity to "explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown." This game is poised to be one of Xbox's major releases of the year, and its inclusion in Game Pass is sure to attract a wide audience.

Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will be added for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on April 9. Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will follow on April 10, also available for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will join the service on April 15 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

In addition to the new games, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
