Kuji-kiri Locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Before the Fall Quest Guide

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe's personal journey is a central narrative thread, and one of the key quests early in her story is titled "Before the Fall." This quest requires you to complete the Kuji-kiri ritual, which helps Naoe heal her non-physical wounds by reliving her past memories. Begin your journey at the Hideout. The first Kuji-kiri location is on the east side of the map, near a pond.

Next, head south from the Hideout. This Kuji-kiri spot is east of Tennoji Pagoda, and north of both Makinoodera Lookout and Makinooedera Temple.

The third location awaits at Rolling Glen, just off the road slightly northeast of Tennoji Pagoda in Osaka.

Kuji-kiri #4

The final Kuji-kiri site is located far west of the Izumi Settsu region. From Amagasaki Tenshu, travel west until you reach southeast of Nakayama Peak.

How to Complete Kuji-kiri

At each of these locations, you'll participate in a mini-game that requires you to press four buttons in a specific rhythm. Initially, on-screen prompts will guide you, but these will fade over time, necessitating that you master the rhythm. Successfully completing the mini-game at each site will trigger a revisit to one of Naoe's memories, allowing you to experience a short, playable segment. Each successful completion rewards you with a Knowledge Point.
