How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era

Initially, you're a Soul Spirit, essentially deceased. To become a Shinigami, accept the first quest offered by the NPC, Hurt Shinigami. She urgently needs assistance, and once you embrace the Shinigami path, there's no turning back—you can't switch to a Hollow unless you become a Visored (more on that later). The Shinigami/Hollow choice requires swift action. Choosing Hollow requires breaking your chain; choosing Shinigami sees the chain slowly breaking regardless. Every two minutes, a chain section breaks. If you ignore this, the chain fully breaks, making you a Hollow. In that case, consult our resurrection moves list for Hollow endgame strategies.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide

Your first quest involves purifying 6 Lost Souls. Shinigami purify Lost Souls and defeat Hollows to maintain balance. Afterwards, accept the next quest from the NPC near Hurt Shinigami. This involves delivering a letter to a doctor near the hospital.

These early quests are ideal for learning your powers. Acquire a $1,000 random power sword from a Urakara shop. Consider the $200 bus stop teleport for faster travel, or purchase infinite fast travel for 149 Robux from the in-game shop.

Subsequent quests, marked with a red crosshair, involve defeating Hollows and Corrupted Shinigami, leading to level 15. Quests include repeatable tasks, progression quests, and those linked to paths like Vizard and Airwalk.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu

Strategic skill point allocation maximizes your Reiatsu. Your Reiatsu Skill Tree features powerful Kido abilities (exclusive to Shinigami):

• Caja Negacion: A lightning beam. Combine with Electric for area-of-effect damage.
• Shakkaho: An explosive energy ball. Ragdoll for knockback, Fire for burning.
• Chain Bind: Energy chains pull enemies closer.
• Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with light rods.
• Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball that explodes on contact.

Kido nodes increase Kido damage; Reiatsu nodes increase maximum Reiatsu.

How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era

Reach level 15 and visit Urihiro for the Shikai Training quest. Defeat Urahara Kisuke (1700 exp reward) to unlock Shikai powers.

Note: Defeating Kisuke at level 15 is challenging. Consider reaching level 25+ for an easier fight. Unlocking Shikai grants a random powerful ability to your weapon; re-roll at the Urahara Shop if needed. Use your Rage Bar (fills with damage dealt/taken) and press Y to activate Shikai (until Reiatsu depletes or you release Y).

Hollow Era Shikai Mastering

Shikai Mastery increases with Mastery Points (earned by using Shikai). Higher Mastery reduces Rage consumption and provides visual aura effects:

• Mastery Level 1 (1-149 Points): Transparent Aura
• Mastery Level 2 (150-299 Points): Brighter aura with particles
• Mastery Level 3 (300-499 Points): Lightning boost
• Mastery Level 4 (500+ Points): Zone of flying stones

Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era

Reach level 50 to unlock the Visored quest at the Vizard’s Warehouse. Vizards blend Shinigami and Hollow powers. You'll need Hogyoku (1% drop rate from the King of Hueco Mundo boss) to bridge the gap between Shinigami and Hollow.

Hollow Era Visored Mastering

Visored perks include Mask Control (reduces Hollow control chance) and Visored node (extends mask usage time, boosting damage).

Visored Abilities in Hollow Era

• Hollow Mask: Activate your Hollow powers on command.
• Cero: A powerful Reiatsu beam.
• Final Cero: A devastating overhead Cero attack.
• Vasto Rage: Transform into a powerful Hollow form (limited time).

What About Hollow Era Bankai?
