Official website data reveals interesting character popularity trends in Marvel Rivals. In "quick play," Jeff reigned supreme, outpacing Venom and Cloak & Dagger. However, competitive play showed different favorites. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis led the pack, while on consoles, Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis dominated.

Surprisingly, the most popular competitive character, Mantis, also suffered the most defeats. She held the top spot on both PC and consoles, surpassing Hela, Loki, and Magic. Mantis's console success was further highlighted by fourteen other characters boasting win rates exceeding 50%.

Conversely, unpopular characters emerged. Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine lagged in "quick play," while Nemore held that unfortunate title in competitive mode.

Marvel Rivals, after a month of receiving over 500 mods, is now facing controversy. Nexus Mods' removal of modifications replacing Captain America's head with Donald Trump and Joe Biden images sparked significant user backlash.

Nexus Mods' owner, TheDarkOne, explained the decision in a private Reddit discussion. He stated that to avoid accusations of bias, both Trump and Biden-related mods were removed concurrently. This simultaneous removal aimed to maintain neutrality.

Curiously, YouTube gaming channels remain unusually silent on this matter.
