Marvel Rivals Unveils "The Maker," a New Mister Fantastic Skin

A new skin for Mister Fantastic, dubbed "The Maker," has been showcased in a recent Marvel Rivals clip. This exciting addition will debut alongside the character himself on January 10th, coinciding with the launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls.

The Maker skin depicts an alternate, villainous Reed Richards from the Ultimate universe. His appearance reflects a darker transformation, featuring a mask concealing most of his face – a consequence of injuries sustained during a clash with the Human Torch. This isn't the only villainous makeover; Invisible Woman will also receive a sinister skin, known as Malice.

The Maker skin boasts a striking black and gray aesthetic, accented by a glowing blue circle on the chest and back. A slate-colored mask, fitted with a blue visor, covers most of his face. Gameplay footage reveals the suit's dynamic properties, stretching and adapting as Mister Fantastic utilizes his abilities.

Beyond The Maker: More Skins and Season 1 Content

While NetEase Games continues to regularly announce new skins, data miners have unearthed further unreleased cosmetics. A Lunar New Year skin for Spider-Man is among the leaked content, anticipated for release soon. Additional cosmetics for characters like Hulk, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange have also been discovered. While release dates remain unconfirmed, many hope to see some of these skins included in the Season 1 battle pass.

Season 1 promises a significant update, including a new game mode called "Doom Match." This 8-12 player free-for-all pits players against each other, with the top 50% emerging victorious. The update will also feature character balance adjustments, buffs, and nerfs, along with new maps, including a darkened version of New York City. The anticipation for Season 1: Eternal Night Falls is palpable within the community.
