Tomnoki Studio's Sphere Defense is a fresh take on the tower defense genre, drawing clear inspiration from the beloved geoDefense. The developer, a longtime fan of the original, has recreated that same elegantly simple yet challenging gameplay.

The Story

Earth, or "The Sphere," faces imminent destruction at the hands of alien invaders. Humanity, forced underground, has finally developed the technology to fight back. You lead the counteroffensive, tasked with saving the planet from annihilation.

Gameplay

Sphere Defense stays true to the core tower defense loop: strategically deploy units, each with unique strengths, to repel waves of enemies. Successful attacks earn you resources to upgrade and expand your defenses. The challenge increases significantly with higher difficulty settings.

The game offers three difficulty levels (easy, normal, hard), each with 10 stages. Expect each stage to last between 5 and 15 minutes. See it in action:

Diverse Units and Strategic Deployment

Sphere Defense features seven distinct unit types, demanding strategic combinations for survival. These include:

• Standard Attack Turret: Single-target damage.
• Area Attack Turret: Deals damage to groups of enemies.
• Piercing Attack Turret: Effective against tightly packed enemy formations.
• Support Units: Enhance the effectiveness of your attack units (Cooling and Incendiary Turrets).
• Support Attack Units: Offer precise, powerful attacks (Fixed-Point and Linear Attack Units).
