Redeem Assassin

If you've pre-ordered *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, you're in for a treat with some exclusive goodies to claim right at the start of your adventure. Here's a detailed guide on how to redeem your pre-order bonuses in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*.

How to Start Thrown to the Dogs in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once you pre-order *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, you'll unlock a special quest called "Thrown to the Dogs." This quest becomes available as soon as you take control of Naoe and are free to explore the open world for the first time.

To begin, follow the quest marker on your map, which will lead you to a dog. Follow the dog to a nearby farm. Your task is to find a key hidden beneath a house. After locating the key, return to the grave site where you first met the dog. Once you've completed these steps, you'll befriend the dog, and the quest will be marked as completed.

If you struggle to find the key, look for a small crawlspace at the base of the house. Naoe can go prone and crawl inside to retrieve the key. It might be easy to miss, so keep your eyes peeled!

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Preorder Bonuses

Upon successfully completing the "Thrown to the Dogs" quest, you'll be rewarded with your pre-order bonuses, which include:

  • Tsuki-maru as a pet at the Hideout
  • 1,000 XP

While the bonuses might seem modest, they have their charm. Tsuki-maru adds a delightful touch to your Hideout without any functional purpose, but the 1,000 XP is quite substantial for the early stages of the game. This bonus will grant you a few Mastery Points to experiment with, although you'll still need to increase your Knowledge to unlock more skills.

And that's how you redeem your pre-order bonuses in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, including what happens if you climb the torii gate and a list of all main quests, be sure to check out The Escapist.
