Infinity Nikki Reports Huge Earnings During First Month
Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal First Month: $16 Million in Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by an astounding 40 times, highlighting the game's significant impact on the mobile gaming market. The game, developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), launched in December 2024 and quickly captivated players worldwide. Its success stems from strong in-app purchases of cosmetic items, outfits, and other game features.
The game, set in the captivating world of Miraland, follows Nikki and her cat, Momo, on a whimsical adventure through diverse nations, each with unique cultures and environments. Nikki's outfits aren't just for show; they possess magical powers crucial for solving puzzles and progressing through the narrative. These outfits are powered by Whimstars, physical representations of inspiration, allowing Nikki to perform actions like floating and shrinking.
Boasting 30 million pre-registrations, Infinity Nikki made a considerable splash in the cozy open-world genre even before its release. AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals impressive weekly earnings: $3.51 million in its debut week, $4.26 million in the second, and $3.84 million in the third. While weekly revenue dipped to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million within the first month. This significantly outpaces both Love Nikki's ($383,000) and Shining Nikki's ($6.2 million) first-month revenues. It's important to note that these figures only reflect mobile platform earnings, excluding revenue from the PC and PlayStation 5 versions.
China's Key Role in Infinity Nikki's Success
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's success, contributing over 5 million downloads—more than 42% of the game's total downloads. This substantial player base from China significantly fueled the game's financial achievement.
Post-Launch Revenue Trends
Daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, the day after launch. While daily earnings subsequently declined, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th, a Version 1.1 update on December 30th spurred a remarkable surge to $665,000, almost tripling the previous day's revenue.
Availability and Future Plans
Infinity Nikki is currently available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The developers are committed to sustaining the game's momentum through regular seasonal events (like the Fishing Day Event) and ongoing updates to enhance player experience.
