Galactic Bazaar Unveils 'Universe for Sale,' a Visual Novel in Jupiter's Orbit

Akupara Games and Tmesis Studio's latest adventure game, Universe for Sale, is now available. Following the success of titles like The Darkside Detective series and Zoeti, Akupara Games delivers another intriguing experience.

Is the Universe Actually for Sale?

The game unfolds on a Jupiter space station, a bizarre bazaar shrouded in acid rain and mystery. Orangutans with surprising wit work the docks, and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the unique ability to create universes from her hand.

The game begins in a mining colony's shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Exploring the ramshackle colony, you eventually discover Honin's Tea House, Lila's shop, and her enigmatic story unfolds as you switch between her perspective and the Master's.

Playing as Lila involves a mini-game of universe creation, mixing ingredients to produce visually stunning worlds. The Master's journey delves into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounters with the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the overarching mystery. Every character, be it human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world encourages thorough exploration.
