Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Reveals Full PC Requirements
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, particularly for 4K resolution. Two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements reveal that a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM is recommended for 4K gameplay.
The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This PC port arrives nearly a year after the PS5 release, which itself recently received a PS5 Pro enhancement patch. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at launch; Square Enix is focused on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
Square Enix clarified previous spec announcements, emphasizing the 12-16GB VRAM recommendation for 4K users. Minimum system requirements remain largely unchanged, requiring a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. Recommended CPU options include AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while GPU requirements start at Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent (with AMD Radeon RX 6600 or higher also accepted), due to DLSS implementation.
