Fantasma Enriches AR Adventure with Expanded Language Support

Author : Julian Update : Jan 18,2025

Pocket Gamer recently discovered Dynabytes' Fantasma, a compelling augmented reality (AR) multiplayer GPS adventure game at Gamescom Latam. This engaging title, not exactly easy to pronounce quickly, recently received a significant update.

The update introduces support for Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese languages – a particularly relevant addition given the game's unveiling in Brazil. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish language support slated for release in the coming months.

But what exactly is Fantasma? In this game, players hunt and battle mischievous creatures that plague the world. The unique gameplay involves deploying portable electromagnetic fields (instead of traditional bait) to lure these paranormal entities.

Once a Fantasma is lured, the battle begins in augmented reality. Players maneuver their phones, aiming and tapping the screen to fire projectiles at the creatures, reducing their health until they can be captured in special bottles.

The location-based gameplay ensures a dynamic experience. Fantasmas appear based on your real-world location, encouraging exploration. Sensors can expand your search radius, pulling in creatures from further distances. And for a more collaborative approach, players can team up with others for a social gaming experience.

Fantasma is available now, free-to-play with in-app purchases, on the App Store and Google Play. Download it today!
