Elden Ring Scam: Fake Invitations for Nightreign Test
Bandai Namco is sending out emails inviting players to a closed beta test for Elden Ring: Nightreign, scheduled for February 14-17, 2025. Selected participants will be among the first to experience the game's three-person cooperative mode.
However, due to the game's popularity, a wave of fraudulent invitations is circulating. Scammers are sending emails mimicking official Bandai Namco notifications, containing links to fake websites designed to resemble Steam. These fraudulent sites aim to steal player accounts upon login. Some players have even received these scam emails forwarded by their friends. While some victims have successfully recovered their accounts through Steam support, caution is paramount.

Exercise extreme caution when clicking links and always verify the source's legitimacy. When in doubt, consult official Bandai Namco channels and avoid suspicious links.
A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game messaging system. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision, stating that the approximately forty-minute session length doesn't allow sufficient time for players to send or read messages effectively. Therefore, the feature has been temporarily disabled for the beta.
