Dead Cells Update Delay: Early 2023 Release
Dead Cells Mobile's final free content updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date of February 18th, 2025, for both updates on Android and iOS.
These updates, already available on PC and console versions, introduce exciting new features. "Clean Cut" brings two new weapons: the survival-focused Sewing Scissors and the brutality-focused Giant Comb. A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, allows players to customize their character's appearance.
"The End is Near" lives up to its name by adding formidable new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Players will also encounter new skills and colorless mutations, including Demonic Strength, a powerful mutation that significantly boosts damage when cursed.
A fitting finale to generous free updates
Playdigious has consistently delivered substantial free content to Dead Cells players. While the announcement of the end of these free updates initially drew criticism, the extensive additions justify the studio's decision to move on to new projects.
Mark your calendars for February 18th, 2025, to experience the culmination of these free updates. New players diving into Dead Cells for the first time are encouraged to consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
