Cure Food Poisoning Easily in KCD2
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, food poisoning is a serious threat. This guide explains how to cure it and prevent future occurrences.
Curing Food Poisoning
The only cure for food poisoning is a digestive potion. You can either purchase one from most apothecaries (those in Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, and the Nomads’ Camp are confirmed sellers), or craft it yourself.
To brew a digestive potion, you'll need the recipe (available for purchase from apothecaries) and the following ingredients: two thistles, two nettles, water, and one charcoal. The brewing process is as follows:
- Boil the thistles in water for two turns.
- Grind the nettles and add them to the cauldron, boiling for one turn.
- Grind the charcoal and add it to the cauldron.
- Pour the potion.
Note: Bozhena's hut offers a safe alchemy station; using others may anger shopkeepers.
Preventing Food Poisoning
The best way to avoid food poisoning is to only consume fresh food. Check the "Freshness" meter in your inventory; red indicates a risk of food poisoning. Only eat food with a white "Freshness" level. Consider perks that slow food spoilage, or preserve food by cooking or drying.
