Carmen Sandiego Celebrates 40th Anniversary at Japan's Cherry Blossom Festival

Netflix and Gameloft have just released an exciting new update for the Carmen Sandiego game, where the iconic thief-turned-detective embarks on a thrilling adventure to Japan during the Cherry Blossom Festival. No, it's not a leisurely trip—Carmen is on a mission. As the Japanese public enjoys the Sakura season, Carmen dives into a new case dubbed the Free FestiVILE, a limited-time event running from April 7th to May 4th.

The mission? To track down the culprits who've stolen the sacred Shinboku tree. Players will be following leads, piecing together clues, and racing against time to uncover the mastermind behind the theft. As part of the experience, players can even unlock a traditional happi coat for Carmen, a refreshing change from her classic red trenchcoat.
