Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Adds Innovative Challenge Tracking System

Black Ops 6: Challenge Tracking and Separate HUD Settings Coming Soon

Treyarch has confirmed development of two highly-requested features for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking and separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies.

The challenge tracking feature, absent from Black Ops 6 despite its presence in Modern Warfare 3, is currently under development. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is anticipated with the upcoming Season 2 content update later this month. This will allow players to monitor challenge progress in real-time, eliminating the need to wait until match completion for updates. This is particularly beneficial for players pursuing Mastery camos.

In a separate announcement, Treyarch confirmed work on a feature allowing players to customize HUD settings independently for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This addresses player frustration with having to repeatedly adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes.

The January 9th update included various bug fixes for UI and audio, along with XP adjustments for the Red Light, Green Light mode. A significant change reverted the controversial extended round times and delayed zombie spawns in Directed Mode for Zombies, following community feedback. These improvements, coupled with the upcoming challenge tracking and separate HUD settings, suggest a commitment to enhancing the overall Black Ops 6 experience.
