Bloodmoon Isle Unlocks in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge to reach. This guide details multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and access the island's quests and storyline advancements.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the destroyed bridge lie northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice. Using Spirit Vision reveals the broken pathways. Crossing requires strategic use of:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but not all companions possess them.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Two pyramids are needed. One companion uses translocation to reach the other side, then the rest teleport to their location.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island, unlocks the waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage. However, this is deceptive. Only undead characters like Fane are immune to the Deathfog.
-
With Fane: Fane can safely cross, unlock the waypoint, and allow the rest of the party to fast travel.
-
Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. A companion takes the ferry (dying in the process), the second pyramid warps the rest to the companion's location, and resurrection magic revives the companion. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Avoiding the Ferryman's Retaliation
Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless prepared. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. A quick save is advisable before engaging. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
For parties without Fane, the Spirit Bridge remains the most efficient route to Bloodmoon Island.
