Bam Margera Joins THPS 3+4 Following Tony Hawk's Insistence
Bam Margera, the iconic skateboarder and Jackass star, has been confirmed to be part of the roster for the upcoming Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not initially being listed. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley revealed that the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally intervened, requesting Activision to include Margera. Despite initial resistance from the developers, Hawk's persistence paid off. IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.Margera's inclusion is particularly notable given his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, which have led to multiple rehab stints and his dismissal from the Jackass Forever project. Additionally, Margera was the subject of a restraining order by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.
Recent videos of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together had already sparked speculation about Margera's potential return to the game. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has made a remarkable comeback after nearly being canceled following the merger of the original developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
