Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Global Release Schedule Revealed

Ubisoft has officially announced the global release schedule for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, marking a significant shift from the release strategies of previous titles in the franchise and other Ubisoft games. Notably, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will have a uniform release date across all platforms without the option for early access, ensuring that all players can dive into the game simultaneously.

The game is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S at 12am local time on March 20. However, the release times for PC players differ depending on the platform. Those purchasing the game on Steam will see it released at various times across different time zones, starting from 9pm PDT on March 19 in Los Angeles to 3pm AEDT on March 20 in Sydney. Similarly, PC players using Ubisoft’s Ubi Connect platform will have a slightly different schedule, with release times ranging from 9pm PDT on March 19 in Los Angeles to 11pm AEDT on March 19 in Sydney.

Pre-loading is already available for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and PC, allowing eager fans to prepare for the game's launch.

The anticipation surrounding Assassin’s Creed Shadows is heightened due to Ubisoft's recent challenges, including delays and the underwhelming sales of last year's Star Wars Outlaws. The company has faced several high-profile setbacks, including game flops, layoffs, studio closures, and cancellations leading up to this release.

IGN's review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows gave it an impressive 8/10, praising the game for refining its open-world mechanics and delivering one of the best experiences in the series to date.
