The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 4 Championship is heading to Sapporo, Japan! This marks the first ALGS offline tournament ever held in Asia, a significant milestone for the competitive Apex Legends scene. The event will be held at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025, featuring 40 elite teams vying for the championship title.

Previously hosted in locations such as the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany, this Asian debut reflects the growing popularity of Apex Legends in the region. EA's announcement highlighted the substantial Japanese community and the strong demand for a local offline event. John Nelson, EA's senior director of esports, expressed excitement about celebrating this milestone in Sapporo's iconic Daiwa House Premist Dome.

While specific tournament details and ticketing information will be revealed later, Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto expressed the city's enthusiastic support for the event, extending a warm welcome to all participants and fans. Before the main event, the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will run from September 13th to 15th, 2024, offering teams a final shot at qualifying.
