Digimon Story: Time Stranger Listing Leaks Before PlayStation Showcase

Author : Lily Update : Apr 07,2025

A new Digimon video game, tentatively titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger, has seemingly been leaked through GameStop listings ahead of tonight's PlayStation State of Play presentation. The leak was first spotted and shared by Gematsu, which provided store links for pre-ordering the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Although the GameStop pages lack images or gameplay details, the timing suggests that an official announcement could be imminent.

The leak comes just hours before Sony's latest State of Play event, which is set to feature 40 minutes of content. While the specifics of the presentation remain under wraps, the sudden appearance of pre-order listings for Digimon Story: Time Stranger hints at a possible reveal during the show.

The Digimon Story series has a rich history, starting with the original Digimon Story for the Nintendo DS in the mid-2000s. Over the years, numerous sequels and spin-offs have been released across various platforms, including notable titles like Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth in 2015 and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory in 2017. A Complete Edition bundling both Cyber Sleuth games was released in 2019.

In these games, players enter the Digimon universe to befriend and battle with digital monsters in RPG-style gameplay. While franchise producer Kazumashu Habu teased a new Story game in 2022, fans have been eagerly awaiting a new installment. Although games like Digimon Survive have helped bridge the gap, the potential reveal of Digimon Story: Time Stranger could mark the end of a long wait for a true continuation of the series.
