Application Description

This OBD2 engine diagnostics tool utilizes a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ELM327 adapter to access and display data from your vehicle's electronic control units (ECUs). The app provides real-time graphical representations of sensor data, allowing for data logging and later review. It also displays and clears Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or engine fault codes.

Users can set minimum and maximum thresholds for each sensor parameter, triggering an alarm if these limits are exceeded. Compatibility extends to both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters, though versions 1.5 to 2.1 are recommended due to reported issues with other versions.

Important Note: ELM327 chips are only compatible with OBD2-compliant vehicles:

  • USA: 1996 and later
  • Europe: 2001 and later (gasoline), 2003 and later (diesel)
  • Japan: Approximately 2000 and later

Beyond standard OBDII parameters, this application supports extended parameters for various car manufacturers, including (but not limited to): BMW, BYD, Chery, Chrysler/Dodge, Citroen, Daewoo, Fiat, Ford, Geely, GM/Chevrolet/Pontiac, GreatWall, Honda, Jeep, KIA, Hyundai, Land Rover, Lifan, Mazda, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, SsangYong, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VAG, Volvo, VAZ, GAZ, ZAZ, and UAZ. A comprehensive list of supported vehicle models and parameters is provided within the application. Note that not all parameters listed for a specific brand may be supported by every vehicle model. Users can select desired PID types in the "Settings / PID types" menu.

Some vehicles (currently including certain Mitsubishi models) allow for system control, such as activating cooling fans or fuel pumps. Accessing MUT parameters and controlling actuators on CAN-bus equipped Mitsubishi vehicles (e.g., Montero/Pajero IV, Outlander 2) requires configuring a profile with the ISO 9141-2 protocol. Other profiles should use ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500K) or automatic protocol selection. Note that not all Mitsubishi CAN-bus models support ISO 9141-2.

The application allows for user-defined parameters.

Version 3.5.9 (September 30, 2024): This update includes minor bug fixes and improvements. Update to the latest version for optimal performance.
