Zenless Zone Zero: Version 1.5 Event Preview Unveiled

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 update will feature a new event incorporating a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to arrive alongside the update's other content, including the addition of characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Version 1.4, released in December, introduced two new playable characters and an S-Rank Bangboo, along with two permanent battle-focused modes. However, the game's history of temporary event modes with unique gameplay mechanics, such as the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" tower defense event, hints at this new addition.

Leaked screenshots depict stages reminiscent of Fall Guys, suggesting a fast-paced, competitive platforming experience. While the leak doesn't confirm whether players will control their regular characters or Bangboo, the event is anticipated to offer rewards like Polychromes and potentially additional free pulls, as previously rumored.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events; Honkai Impact 3rd's 6.1 update in 2022 featured a similar "Midnight Chronicle" event. Given the popularity of Zenless Zone Zero's Bangboo, their inclusion in the platformer mode is a strong possibility, fulfilling player requests for more Bangboo-centric gameplay beyond Hollow Zero.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 is slated for release on January 22nd, bringing with it Astra Yao and Evelyn, and potentially Nicole's first character skin and Ellen's Agent Story, as suggested by earlier leaks. The addition of this platformer event further enhances the anticipated content drop.
