Wuthering Waves: Guide to Solving the Morph Painting Puzzle
Quick Links
Rinascita offers a treasure trove of discoveries, including an array of puzzles that can be quite challenging to solve. Among these, Morph Paintings stand out, featuring two puzzle types: Overflowing Palettes and straightforward restoration tasks.
Morph Painting Restoration puzzles are not only simple but also rewarding, especially if you're aiming to gather extra resources like Astrites in Wuthering Waves. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how these puzzles function, their locations, and the steps to solve them.
Restoring Morph Paintings in Wuthering Waves
To restore Morph Paintings, you'll need to locate and correctly place them on the designated pedestals. Start by reading the descriptions on the pedestals, which will guide you to the matching portrait. Then, utilize your Levitator utility to position the painting back where it belongs. The game typically auto-switches to the Levitator, but if it doesn't, you can manually equip it by pressing Tab or D-Pad Left.
Currently, two such paintings exist in the game, linked to the quests Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise and Trials of Old.
Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise Morph Painting Puzzle
As part of the Shadows of the Past questline in Wuthering Waves, you'll explore the three towers in Thorncrown - Thessaleo Falls. The Resounding Rise tower houses a Morph Painting puzzle. To crack it, use the central large painting as your reference point and follow these steps:
- Swap the paintings in the front-left and back-right positions.
- Move the painting behind the left pedestals to the back-left spot.
- Place the painting behind the chairs on the right into the front-right position.
Upon solving the puzzle, a chest will materialize, allowing you to continue with the quest.
Trials of Old Morph Painting Puzzle
The Trials of Old quest requires you to complete four trials near Porto-Veno Castle in the eastern part of Thessaleo Fells. Within the Trial of Wisdom, you'll encounter another Morph Painting puzzle. The goal is to arrange the paintings on the pedestals to narrate a story from left to right. The solution is depicted in the image above.
A handy tip: You'll know you've placed the correct Morph Painting on the right pedestal if the frame illuminates upon insertion. Use this visual cue to easily navigate the puzzle's mechanics.
