World of Warcraft Classic: Season of Discovery's Final Phase Launches January 28
Blizzard has announced that the seventh and final phase of World of Warcraft Classic's Season of Discovery will commence on January 28, bringing with it exciting new content for players. This update will introduce the Karazhan Crypts dungeon, located beneath the iconic tower in Deadwind Pass, and the Scourge Invasions event, where undead hordes will overrun various zones and cities in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms.
Following the launch of Phase 7, players can embark on new quests at Light's Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands, collecting Necrotic Runes from undead enemies to purchase unique consumable items. Additionally, new runes will be available from Rune Brokers across Azeroth, enhancing player abilities and strategies.
Just over a week after Phase 7's launch, on February 6, guilds will have the opportunity to tackle the legendary Naxxramas raid. This raid, known for its challenging encounters, will offer an "Empower" difficulty option, providing additional challenges for those seeking a greater test of their skills. After conquering the four wings of Naxxramas, players can face the final showdown in the Frostwyrm Lair against the formidable bosses, Sapphiron and Kel'thuzad.
Phase 7 arrives only two months after Phase 6, which took players to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During Phase 6, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure in the desert ruins, speculated to be Xal'atath from World of Warcraft: The War Within. Although the figure's role was minimal, it remains to be seen if it will make a final appearance in Phase 7.
While Season of Discovery concludes with Phase 7, World of Warcraft Classic has a packed schedule for 2025 across all its versions. The future of Blizzard's Seasonal realms remains a topic of anticipation and speculation among the community.
