The Witcher 3 adaptation in the vein of fantasy movies from the 1980s
Tech enthusiasts continue to explore the potential of screen adaptations using cutting-edge technology, and their latest focus is the Witcher series. Sora AI, a YouTube channel creator, recently unveiled a concept trailer for a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adaptation.
The trailer emulates the aesthetic of 1980s films, leveraging neural network technology for its creation. The video features numerous recognizable characters from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, Priscilla, and others. While some minor visual alterations are present, the characters remain easily identifiable.
Recently, the developers of The Witcher 3 hinted at the inclusion of Triss's wedding in the game. Originally planned as a Novigrad quest titled "Ashen Marriage," the storyline depicts Triss developing romantic feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift wedding. Geralt aids in the wedding preparations, which involve ridding the canals of monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction varies depending on the gift chosen. Less elaborate gifts receive a lukewarm response, while a memory rose—a familiar item from The Witcher 2—elicits a much stronger emotional reaction.
