Vanillite Stars in April 2025 Pokémon Go Community Day

As we approach the Spring season, Pokémon Go enthusiasts are in for a frosty surprise during the upcoming Community Day event. Scheduled for April 27th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, the spotlight will be on Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon. During this period, Vanillite will appear more frequently in the wild, providing players with ample opportunities to catch this chilly Pokémon. Keep your eyes peeled, as you might even encounter its elusive Shiny variant!

The fun doesn't end with just catching Vanillite. If you evolve it into Vanilluxe during the event or up to May 4th, it will learn the powerful Charged Attack, Avalanche. This move boasts 90 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and Raids, making Vanilluxe a formidable addition to your battle team.

For those looking to delve deeper into the event, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for just $2. By completing these tasks, you'll encounter Vanillite with a special Might and Mastery-themed background, along with additional Vanillite encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and other rewards.

There's also a Timed Research opportunity that extends through the following week, offering another chance to capture Vanillite with the exclusive backdrop. Event-themed Field Research tasks will provide opportunities to earn Stardust, Great Balls, and more encounters with Vanillite, some of which may feature a special event background.

To enhance your gameplay during the event, several bonuses will be active. You'll earn triple XP for catches, double Candy for each Pokémon caught, and Trainers level 31 and above will enjoy double the odds of receiving Candy XL.
