Dead Sails Kraken Boss Guide
Your adventure begins in the heart of town, across from the Gun Store and Hospital and in front of the Trading Hut. Start by shedding any excess loot and gearing up. I recommend grabbing a Rifle for $75; it's a cost-effective choice with ample firepower to fend off enemies, at least temporarily. Don't forget to stock up on coal to fuel your ship's old-school engine.
The next town is a distant 10,000 meters away. Once you've kickstarted your journey, you can choose to stop and engage with Zombies and Drowned for loot, though the houses on the sides don't offer much. To restart your ship, simply add more coal. Ignore the worm wiggling on the right side and wait until you reach the second safe zone to sell your loot, but stay vigilant for Big Foot and Zombie mobs along the riverbanks.
Beyond the second safe zone, you'll encounter burning buildings teeming with enemies. If you're with friends, clear them out, but solo players might find it a waste of time due to scattered spawn points. At around 12,000 meters, you'll find a castle-like house filled with Drowned and valuable loot, including Shotgun ammo—use it wisely.
Dead Sails Kraken Tips And Tricks
The core gameplay loop remains straightforward: kill, loot, repeat, and hope your enemies fall. To elevate your gameplay, optimize your efficiency by using your boat as a primary inventory. Clear your bag when you return to the boat to save time and space.
A key strategy I discovered while crafting this guide is stacking Zombies near the incinerator. While the urge to flee backwater towns is strong, efficient loot stacking can significantly boost your progress. Running low on fuel? Toss a few Zombies into the incinerator, and you're set.
Keep an eye on Sheriff's offices as well; they often harbor a high concentration of mobs but also offer rewarding weapons and ammo. My shotgun's longevity was sustained by having a friend clear the ground floor in each town we explored.
Conserve your ammo, weapons, fuel, and medkits for the fortress at around 25,000 meters. Still under construction, it's a hotspot for ambushes. I recommend tackling this area with at least three others, ideally a group of five, and be meticulous when gathering loot.
Avoid engaging Big Feet beyond 30,000 meters at all costs. They're tough, hit hard, and require a lot of ammo to defeat safely. Prioritize efficiency over exhaustive looting.
The town past 50,000 meters is a prime farming spot with numerous Drowned and Zombies. It's an excellent place to gather corpses for fuel, especially with friends wielding Shotguns or Sawnoffs. Coordinate your team to prepare bodies for quick loading.

In the final safe zone, sell all your loot and stock up on ammo, weapons, and medkits. Don't underestimate Zombies and Drowned—ensure you have at least 8-10 corpses for fuel during this crucial stage. Around the 100,000-meter mark, you'll reach open waters and face the beast. The impending battle is signaled by darkening skies.
As the Kraken emerges, every player must choose a tentacle to attack. The boss has substantial health, and each tentacle can cause damage if not repelled effectively. With five players, form a pentagram-like shape and tackle your assigned tentacle.
Watch out for the water splash ability, which inflicts AoE damage and is telegraphed by the Kraken winding back its tentacle, leaving a water trail. Use medkits generously to mitigate the unavoidable damage.
Lastly, be cautious of the Roar AoE, which deals minor unblockable damage and may slightly boost the boss's damage. You'll recognize it by the white concentric circles emanating from the tentacle.
As you can see, the challenge is more manageable than it appears. That concludes my Dead Sails Kraken Guide. To expedite your victory, consider using one of our Dead Sails codes to enhance your journey. Best of luck, and may your sails be ever smooth!
