Six TotK Zonai Devices Now Available as Magnetic Capsules
Nintendo Tokyo's gacha machines now offer a selection of six magnetic Zonai Device capsule toys, exclusive to the store. These popular devices from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are now available as collectible items.
The collection includes a Zonai Fan, Flame Emitter, Portable Pot, Shock Emitter, Big Wheel, and Rocket. Each miniature device features a magnet styled after the Ultrahand's adhesive, mirroring the game's mechanics. The capsules themselves are designed to resemble the in-game Device Dispensers.
Unlike in the game, obtaining these collectibles requires a monetary investment. Each capsule costs approximately $4, with a two-capsule purchase limit per transaction. Customers must rejoin the queue for additional attempts. Given the popularity of Tears of the Kingdom, expect potential long lines.
Previous Nintendo Gachapon Releases
Nintendo's gachapon initiative began in June 2021 with the Controller Button Collection, featuring Famicom and NES controller keychains, available at their Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto locations. A second wave, released in July 2024, expanded the collection to include SNES, N64, and GameCube controller designs.
These exclusive items can also be found at Nintendo's Check-In booth in Narita Airport. While the Zonai Devices are currently Tokyo-exclusive, future availability at other locations or through resellers (at potentially inflated prices) is possible.
