This timely holiday release also includes two new characters and four new route tokens. Developer Marmalade aimed to provide a festive gift to Ticket to Ride enthusiasts, offering not just new locations but also fresh mechanics. Country-to-country tickets challenge you to link specific countries, offering multiple choices and varying point values. For example, you might connect France to Germany, Italy, or Austria, each yielding a different reward upon completion. Similarly, city-to-country tickets require connecting a city to a designated country.

Strategic planning is key, as each country has a limited number of connection points. Successful route completion awards points based on the highest-scoring connection for each ticket; failure to connect results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.
