Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Join Call of Duty

Activision has revealed a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time the Turtles have graced an Activision shooter.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (only described as "soon") remain undisclosed by Activision, the CODWarfareForum has leaked potential details.

Rumored additions include operator skins for all four Turtles (disappointingly excluding April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder). New melee weapons and finishers are also anticipated: a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The crossover's main events are expected to unfold on the Grind map, a skatepark setting perfectly suited to the theme.

Community reaction to the announcement has been muted, not due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather, due to the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's struggles with bugs and rampant cheating have severely impacted its player base. This collaboration feels ill-timed, occurring amidst a period of crisis, leaving many uncertain about its impact or longevity.
